Andrew Bradbury, OD
Dr. Bradbury graduated with honors from Southern College of Optometry in 2014. After graduation, he moved to Winston-Salem and fell in love with the vibrant community and surrounding landscape.
Dr. Bradbury sees patients of all ages, offering comprehensive eye exams and specialized contact lens exams. He is licensed to treat and manage eye conditions such as dry eyes, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration and can evaluate the eyes for systemic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
In his free time, Dr. Bradbury enjoys getting outdoors, traveling the globe and visiting all of the amazing establishments in Winston-Salem with his wife, Allison, and their pup, Watson.
Kelsey Bredice, Eyewear Stylist, CPO
Kelsey began her eye care journey in 2014 after finding out that incredible, handcrafted, independent eyewear exists. She has loved it ever since! Her favorite thing about eye care is making great connections with patients and assisting them with choosing the perfect eyeglasses for their new look!
In addition to loving glasses, Kelsey also finds the medical aspects of eye care fascinating and enjoys assisting Dr. Bradbury with eye exams whenever possible.
In her free time you can find Kelsey doing one of several hobbies, including knitting, sewing and roller skating, along with spending time with her husband, Ian, and their many rescue cats and dogs.
Kate Helke, Eyewear Stylist, ABO
Kate is a Winston-Salem, NC native and loves being part of the community! The transition into eye care was an easy one for her, as she has been wearing glasses and contacts since early childhood. Finding independently owned and handcrafted eyewear helped solidify her interest in the field. Her favorite part of the job is making sure every pair of glasses that leaves our office is absolutely perfect, from the proper fit of the frame to the precise prescription!
Originally attending Wake Forest University and UNC-Greensboro, Kate completed her degree in journalism and media studies. She still uses her degree today as a part-time professional photographer!
In addition to being an incredible optician, Kate is also a great chauffeur and dress-up partner to her young daughter. You can also find her and her husband, Marc, in front of the TV during football season or taking a family hike with their dog, Josie, at one of the triad’s many trails.
Kency Bauers-Spann, Eyewear Stylist
Kency started in the eye care industry working in a medical eye care practice as a member of their front desk team as well as the head surgery coordinator. After two years of learning the intricacies of medical eye care, she decided to transition into a role in optical and totally fell in love. Kency thoroughly enjoys working with patients to find the glasses they’ve always wanted as well as taking a well loved pair of glasses and breathing life back into them!
When not in the office, Kency enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking or just relaxing in the yard with a good book. Her and her husband Matthew are restoring a small 1940s farm property with the help of their three dogs and two cats.
Brittany Watkins, Social Media Marketing
After gaining an Associate’s Degree at Forsyth Tech in 2011, Brittany fell in love with the world of handcrafted, independent eyewear. Her passion is helping each person find the perfect pair of frames to fit their unique style and personality! She is a pro at fixing and adjusting glasses too, so that your perfect frame also has the perfect fit. Her favorite eyewear brand in the shop (at the moment!) is our Danish line Orgreen. She loves their attention to detail, the lightweight feel of the Japanese titanium and the gorgeous colors their in-house colorist carefully selects.
When Brittany’s not helping patients pick out their next pair of glasses, she enjoys drinking IPAs at one of our many downtown breweries, reading a good book and hanging out at home with her husband and their three rescue dogs.
Alisa Alexander, Optometric Technician
Alisa is a student at Salem College studying Health Science and is on the path to becoming a great future optometrist. She has a strong love of science and has always been fascinated with how the eyes work. Alisa really enjoys helping Dr. Bradbury by pretesting patients before their eye exams. She loves getting to know all of the patients she works with and enjoys making connections with them!
Outside of school and work, Alisa enjoys painting, antiquing and spending time with friends and family. Alisa also has two cats and two ducks that she loves hanging out with.
