New Glasses, Sunglasses and Neighbors. Oh my!

We’ve been busy little bees over here at A Proper View since our last update! Sunglasses sales, fun events and some new neighbors are just a few of the exciting bits of news we’ve got to share!

If you regularly visit us on our blog or social media, you may remember our sunglasses sale we had throughout the month of July. It was a huge success! How do we define success, exactly? Well, we had a lot of ladies leave the shop in some glamorous shades and some fellas were looking quite good when they left, too! That’s a success in our book.

On the events side of things, we’ve been lucky to host and attend quite a few event over the last month or so! The Reynolda Village Sidewalk Sale took place in mid-July, and we had a blast being part of all the festivities. We also hosted our first (of many!) Happy Hour events with WOOW Eyewear. Guests were treated to drink and light snacks while they were able to peruse the entire collection of eyeglasses and sunglasses in store. If you missed the event, fear not! We had a chance to look through the collection ourselves and are excited to have lots of new beautiful new glasses from WOOW Eyewear headed our way. We’re excited to see the trend towards metal eyeglass frames continue, as we feel like it’s only fair they get their chance to shine with acetate (or plastic) frames having most of the fun over the last several years.

We’re also excited to announce that we have new neighbors adjacent to our shop in Reynolda Village. AR Workshop opened in July and are a must visit if you’ve never experienced one before. They are a DIY craft shop where you can design and make your own custom projects with everything from framed signs to dog beds! They even offer supplies if you like to do your crafting in the safety of your own home. We had a chance to create some projects of our own (you can see our sign in person at the shop). It was such a blast! Keep them in mind for a fun family or work event or even sign up for a class on your own. Find out more and book a class on their website here.

We hope you all are enjoying the last bits of summer. We’re not loving the noticeably shorter days but some folks around here (who will remain nameless) are itching for their pumpkin spice coffee/donuts/everything.
